Guglhupf (also known as a bundt cake) used to be an key part of every Sunday afternoon snack break, often accompanied by a cup of coffee, and is still commonly seen at children’s parties or family celebrations in Austria today. Whether it’s prepared with yeast dough with raisins or a sponge mixture, it always tastes delicious and you can find a Guglhupf tin in almost every home.

Make sure to grease the enamel cake tin well and to flour or crumb it before adding the cake mixture. This ensures that the cake, and anything else that you choose to bake in the tin, will not stick and can be easily removed.
