As an Austrian company, we also offer a schnitzel pan in our range. This round oven pan with high rim and two handles is not only excellent for making crispy schnitzels but is also extremely versatile. Braised and egg dishes as well as Asian wok dishes turn out perfect in the enamel schnitzel pan. Thanks to its two practical handles, it can be placed directly on the dining table and used as a serving pan. The schnitzel pan is oven-safe and can easily be placed in the oven at high temperatures, whether as a baking dish or oven pan. It is suitable, for example, as a gratin dish for baked ham noodles and even for baking bread. In addition to savory dishes, even the sweet Kaiserschmarrn, another Austrian dish, can be finished baking in the schnitzel pan in the oven.
Before first use: Remove the sticker, fill with boiling water and vinegar, and let it sit for a short time.
Cleaning in the dishwasher: RIESS enamel can be washed in the dishwasher. However, we recommend hand washing to ensure long-lasting enjoyment of enamel’s brilliant shine. If you use the dishwasher, select the gentle glassware program to preserve the gloss and vibrant colors of the enamel for as long as possible. For sparkling clean pots and pans, use the gentle glassware program and the cleaning products from our partner Claro. You can find all tips on dishwasher care in this video.
- Before cleaning off food residues or burnt-on remains, fill the still-warm cookware after cooking and emptying with warm – never cold – water and dish soap. After a short soaking period, the cookware can be cleaned effortlessly.
- For particularly stubborn or burnt-on residues, briefly boil water with dish soap.
- For cleaning, use RIESS Enamel Care or a mild scouring milk, as well as the smooth side of a sponge or a soft brush.
- Avoid using wire brushes, steel wool, abrasive powders containing sand or sponges with ceramic particles.
More helpful care tips
- Store the cookware well dried. Any lime stains can be easily removed with vinegar water.
- If flash rust appears on exposed enamel edges or the rim, it can be easily removed with dish soap.
- Exposed enamel edges can be re-oiled from time to time with cooking oil.
Since 1550, we have been crafting durable iron pans. Before use, the wax layer is removed, and the pan is seasoned – creating a natural patina that requires less fat.
