Our traditional enamel baking dish with two carrying handles and lid is now also available in a smaller, square version, ideal for small households. This baking dish reminds many of grandma's Sunday roast in the 'Bratenreindl'. With this baking dish, you can braise meat for hours. The lid fits perfectly thanks to the fold in the lower baking dish and also features two handles. When removing the lid, the use of pot holders is recommended. In the form, the roast can be cut directly, and after eating, the enamel baking dish is easy to clean. The enamel preserves the flavors and the lid keeps all liquid inside. The best part is that you get two baking dishes in one: when the lid is not needed, it can be used as an additional baking and roasting pan. Wonderful roasts and braised dishes are perfectly cooked in this baking dish with lid. Both parts can also be used separately for sweet and savory casseroles and similar dishes. If one part of the baking dish is used as a baking form, it should always be well-greased and dusted with flour or crumbs to prevent sticking and facilitate the removal of cakes and similar items.
Before first use: Remove the sticker, fill with boiling water and vinegar, and let it sit for a short time.
Cleaning in the dishwasher: RIESS enamel can be washed in the dishwasher. However, we recommend hand washing to ensure long-lasting enjoyment of enamel’s brilliant shine. If you use the dishwasher, select the gentle glassware program to preserve the gloss and vibrant colors of the enamel for as long as possible. For sparkling clean pots and pans, use the gentle glassware program and the cleaning products from our partner Claro. You can find all tips on dishwasher care in this video.
- Before cleaning off food residues or burnt-on remains, fill the still-warm cookware after cooking and emptying with warm – never cold – water and dish soap. After a short soaking period, the cookware can be cleaned effortlessly.
- For particularly stubborn or burnt-on residues, briefly boil water with dish soap.
- For cleaning, use RIESS Enamel Care or a mild scouring milk, as well as the smooth side of a sponge or a soft brush.
- Avoid using wire brushes, steel wool, abrasive powders containing sand or sponges with ceramic particles.
More helpful care tips
- Store the cookware well dried. Any lime stains can be easily removed with vinegar water.
- If flash rust appears on exposed enamel edges or the rim, it can be easily removed with dish soap.
- Exposed enamel edges can be re-oiled from time to time with cooking oil.
