Description:
The new versions of our largest pots and casseroles are made from extra-strong sheet iron, coated in the finest glass. They are made even more robust in a kiln, where the glass is combined with the iron at temperatures of 850 °C, resulting in the shiny and non-porous, smooth enamel. The result is a genuinely original piece of kitchen equipment – earthy-black on the outside and speckled granite on the inside – designed for cooking big batches of hearty food.
The four large pots from the GIANT range and the three casseroles from the SHALLOW GIANT range
vary significantly in both capacity and diameter, with the capacity of the pots and casseroles ranging from a respectable 4 litres to an unbelievable 20 litres, and the diameters ranging from 20 to 32 cm.
They’re perfect for cooking on the stove or stewing in the oven, ideal to use as stock pots, stewpots, punch pots or mulled wine pots, preserving pans, spaghetti pots, pasta pots or noodle pots, when cooking for many people. They can also be combined with our white enamel vegetable colander to drain pasta and can even be used to store food (when they aren’t used for cooking).
In addition, each pot has a matching lid that sits perfectly on the rolled rim and will start to rattle quietly as soon as the contents of the pot begin to cook, indicating that the temperature can be reduced.
Our largest pots and casseroles are incredibly versatile and are suitable for all types of cooker, from campfires through to induction cookers, and the casseroles can also be put in the oven. What’s more, these pots and casseroles have all the great features of RIESS Premium Enamel, are easy to clean and can last forever if cleaned and maintained properly.
Enamel is made from iron fused with glass at high temperatures, therefore it’s made from natural raw materials.
Our enamel cookware is suitable for use with all types of cookers (gas, electric, ceramic, induction and even open flame). Thanks to the iron core, the heat is conducted quickly and is then retained. This ensures sustainable, energy-efficient cooking.
The non-porous, smooth, glass surface guarantees perfect hygiene, as it’s flavour-neutral, prevents bacteria growth and is easy to clean. When used and cared for properly, our enamel cookware can provide years of cooking enjoyment and will maintain its characteristic glossy appearance.
