Description
This jug is the pot that our Grandmas always had standing on the stove. Some people also call it a milk pot or milk mug, but for us it will always be a jug because of its characteristically shaped spout. This spout allows the liquids in the jug to reach the intended container without spilling a drop and is particularly suitable for serving directly at the table thanks to its round handle. The rim is curved – known as a rolled rim in enamel terms – and is created by bending the metal during the manufacturing process to form a rounded and stable rim. Not only is this jug loved by our Grandmas, but for many people it’s also still a popular little helper in the kitchen for all occasions.
The jug comes in a variety of shapes, colours and designs. To accompany the Classic White version of the jug, you can also find other kitchen utensils such as pots, bowls that range in size from very small for muesli to very big for salads, ladles and much, much more. These products from our Classic White range can also be easily combined with jugs, pots, bowls and other items in our blue and white dirndl pattern.
Enamel is made from iron fused with glass at high temperatures. Our enamel products are suitable for use with all types of cookers (gas, electric, ceramic, induction and even open flame). Thanks to its iron core, the enamel conducts heat in the blink of an eye and retains it for a long time, ensuring energy-efficient cooking. The non-porous, smooth, glass surface guarantees perfect hygiene. Enamel cookware is also recommended for people with nickel allergies.
Uses:
You can use the jug to conveniently heat up milk, sauces and other liquids (like soup) and pour them without spilling a drop.
Tip:
When warming up milk, put a few drops of water in the jug beforehand and only heat it on a medium heat. This stops the milk from burning easily.
