Description
Our small enamel bowls with rolled rims (this is the name for the curved rim on the bowls in enamel terms) are much-loved and versatile helpers in the kitchen and they preserve the unadulterated taste of the food. The kitchen bowls can be stacked inside one another and therefore don’t take up too much space when stored away (they can also be stored with their three big “sisters”, our fruit and salad bowls).
Enamel is made from iron fused with glass at high temperatures, therefore it’s made from natural raw materials.
The non-porous, smooth, glass surface guarantees perfect hygiene, as it’s flavour-neutral, prevents bacteria growth and is easy to clean. When used and cared for properly, our enamel cookware can provide years of cooking enjoyment and will maintain its characteristic glossy appearance.
Use
The kitchen bowl is a versatile serving dish and can also be used as a muesli or salad bowl, or to serve spreads for bread, nuts or nibbles, biscuits, etc.
Or can be used as a small bowl to prepare ingredients (“Mise en place”) for cooking or baking.
Tips
And if you find the kitchen bowl to be too small, there are also bowls that are even larger, such as the salad and fruit bowls which are available in many different colours and designs, including: white, pastel, country dirndl, Sarah Wiener Edition. They can all be stacked inside each other to save space when stored.
Dark scratches on the enamel are usually caused by abrasions from cutlery or metal kitchen utensils. These can be easily removed with the RIESS enamel cleaner or a mild scouring cream.
