Description
The typical shape of the bowl is very traditional and has a long history in Austria. These bowls are made from enamel and have two large handles that allow you to also transport heavy mixtures easily and safely. All of our mixing bowls have a typical rolled rim (as the curved rim is known in enamel terms). There are bowls ranging from small to large in size, as they are popular and versatile pieces of equipment in the kitchen when it comes to baking and cooking, and they can also be used for serving food too.
Enamel is made from iron that was fused with glass at high temperatures, therefore it’s made from natural raw materials.
The non-porous, smooth, glass surface guarantees perfect hygiene, as it’s flavour-neutral, prevents bacteria growth and is easy to clean. When used and cared for properly, our enamel cookware can provide years of cooking enjoyment and will maintain its characteristic glossy appearance.
Use
The bowl is a versatile piece of crockery and, depending on its size, is not just great for kneading dough in but also for serving food such as salad and fruit. You can also use the smaller mixing bowls to prepare your morning muesli or to serve spreads, nuts, nibbles, biscuits, etc.
Tip:
Dark scratches on the enamel are usually caused by abrasions from cutlery or metal kitchen utensils. These can be easily removed with the RIESS enamel cleaner or a mild scouring cream.
