Description
Summer and autumn are peak seasons for the preserving pan. Berries, stone fruit and blossoms can be transformed into delicious jams and other preserves in the blink of an eye with this pan.
The extra-strong bottom ensures that the heat is distributed evenly and quickly. Thanks to the enamel, which conducts heat extremely well, the sides of the pan also become warm, allowing the flavours of the fruit to combine perfectly with the sugar and then set. The robust chrome rim protects the pan from being chipped.
Enamel is made from iron fused with glass at high temperatures. Our enamel pans are suitable for use with all types of cookers (gas, electric, ceramic, induction and even open flame). Thanks to its iron core and the extra-strong, steel, heat-retaining bottom, the heat is conducted quickly and is then retained. This ensures sustainable, energy-efficient cooking. The non-porous, smooth, glass surface guarantees perfect hygiene. Enamel cookware is recommended for people with nickel allergies.
Use
Outside the preserving season, the pan can also be used for other things, e.g. for making large quantities of pasta sauces and soups for when you have lots of guests or for freezing later.
There is even enough space to make the classic dish of boiled beef, served with lots of vegetables and dumplings, in the pan.
Tips
If you are not sure whether the marmalade is ready or not, do a jelling test. Put some marmalade on a plate, leave it to cool a little and then move the plate around. If the marmalade doesn’t run then it’s ready.
When the marmalade is ready, leave it in the preserving pan for around an hour before pouring it into jars. This way, you can ensure that the flavours of the fruit develop better.
